Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Raymond James, UBS

UBS Private Wealth Management has appointed Jeff Lewis, Steve May, and John McColskey as managing director-ranked financial advisors in Atlanta, Georgia. All formerly worked for JP Morgan’s private banking arm.
Also joining UBS are Jessie Searles and Mary Bennett, who will serve as relationship managers, as well as portfolio associate John Lindsey. The team will report to Lane Strumlauf, Southeast private wealth management market head, UBS said in a statement yesterday.
Lewis joins as a former MD and head of investments and advice for the Southeast Region of JP Morgan’s private bank. He worked at JP Morgan for 17 years.
May was an MD and banker in the Atlanta office of JP Morgan’s private bank for 13 years. He also previously led Wachovia’s financial planning division for the Georgia/Mid-South region and began his career in public accounting as a CPA with Arthur Andersen’s family wealth planning group.
McColskey was an MD and banker with JP Morgan’s private bank for five years. He has had an extensive career in the financial services industry advising ultra-high net worth individuals, families, family offices and institutions. Prior to JPMorgan, he served as president of Meritage Capital.
Raymond James
Raymond James has brought in financial advisor Lauren Rudd and his team to Raymond James & Associates, its employee advisor channel. Rudd and colleagues are based in Sarasota, Florida.
Rudd manages more than $230 million in client assets and joins RJA’s employee select advisor model from his own previously independent RIA firm, Rudd International, Inc, which cleared through Charles Schwab. Joining him at Raymond James are team members Patricia A Weeks, business operations specialist; Jose M Joia, associate vice president, Investments; and Myree Simon, client service associate.
A 50-year financial services industry veteran, Rudd’s experience includes portfolio management, investment research and analysis, investor relations and communications. He is a public speaker, provides expertise via radio and television commentary and is the publisher of The Rudd Report. In addition, 24 weeks of the year he teaches investment analysis for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, part of the Ringling School of Continuing Education.
Weeks has more than 17 years of experience in financial services, and has worked for several securities firms on the trading floors of both The Chicago Stock Exchange and The Chicago Board Options Exchange.
Joia joined Rudd’s team in 2017 after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in business finance from the University of Central Florida and a master’s also from the University of Central Florida Rosen College of Hospitality Management with a focus on financial and feasibility studies.
Simon became a part of Rudd’s team in 2016. Prior to joining Rudd International, Simon worked for nearly two decades as an estate planning paralegal.
